Jesus Christ the Son of God, and his life, death and resurrection, is our Christian sermon audio focus.  His message of hope for eternal life is found in the gospels of the Bible.  Christianity is our faith, including the offer of certain salvation, for time and eternity.

Rev Roderick John Campbell is interim moderator of Cross Free Church, Ness, Isle of Lewis, with the congregation now vacant.  He is the minister of North Tolsta Free Church in the Isle of Lewis, and can be contacted at:

Free Church Manse, North Tolsta, Isle of Lewis.  HS2 0NH

Cross Free Church: the church building was constructed in 1892.  It is one of the largest churches in the Western Isles, able to seat 1400 people in comfort, although in 1968 it was reported to have held 2000 people at an induction. Built by the contractor James Macrae from Stornoway, the church was constructed from rock quarried from Druim a'Fhraoich, North Dell in Ness, and is so large that it can contain Back Free Church within its walls.

Today, Cross Free Church remains in a good state of maintenance, with long standing water-ingress problems at the bell tower repaired, and various internal improvements completed.

Manse project:
the congregation is currently fund-raising to extensively renovate the manse, which over one hundred years old.  If you would like to help the cause of Jesus Christ by donating to the project, please contact our treasurer, either by email, or alternatively by telephone: 01851 810410.

Your support would be very much appreciated.

Church hall:
a multi-purpose hall is now attached to the back of the main church building, which is used for prayer meetings, Sunday School and Youth Fellowship, in addition to morning services.

Christianity Explored: meetings are held in the hall.
